Smitha diagnostic and research center was founded in 1986 by Mr. PI George with the aim to provide high-quality, holistic medical services to the people of Chennai and beyond at a reasonable price.

On 2004, Mr. Ananth - Senior Micro biologist, become Managing Director for Smitha diagnostic and research center, Also Lab Managerment decided to hand over the entire organizantion to Mr.Ananth and Mr.Aravinth - Senior Technologist.

Mr.Ananth is earlier worked in leading hospitals in Chennai as microbiologiest , After that he has realized and thought make single forum to provide al kind of diagnostic needs. Therefore, he decided, he would start a diagnostic Centre with multispeciality services, with the aim to embrace high technology and close monitoring with the utmost care for patient safety, while always keeping costs as low as possible.

While providing clinical investigation services, quality is an important criterion. We are committed to maintain excellence in all our services, ensuring patient satisfaction.
